Delete Your Account

You can delete your Showpile account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, what we keep, and what to do if you no longer have the app installed.
This page is available in English only. We would rather show you the reviewed English text than a machine translation of a legal document.
Delete your account from the app
Open Showpile and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. You will be asked to sign in again — this is a safety check, so that nobody who picks up an unlocked phone can delete your account — and then to confirm. Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.
If you no longer have the app installed
Email support@showpile.app from the address your account uses and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the request came from the account holder and delete it within 30 days. You do not need to reinstall the app.
What gets deleted
Your profile: display name, username, profile photo, bio and email address. Your library: every title you track, its status, and your episode progress. Your activity: every viewing and every episode you logged, with its date, rating and notes. Your lists and collections. Your posts, together with the comments, likes and ratings on them. Your follows and followers. Your onboarding preferences, notification tokens and notification history.
What we keep, and for how long
Anonymised crash reports and usage counts, which are not linked to your account and cannot be traced back to it once the account is gone. These are held by Google Firebase under its own retention schedule and are used only to find and fix bugs. If the law requires us to keep a record that a deletion request was made, we keep the record of the request and nothing else.
Deleting part of your data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your account to remove things from it. Inside the app you can delete individual posts, comments, lists and activity entries, remove titles from your library, un-mark episodes you have watched, and clear your profile photo or bio at any time. Each of these takes effect immediately. If you would rather we removed something for you, email support@showpile.app.
